Day 2 – Friday 20th March

I’ve been keeping in touch with our mum group on What’s App, all self isolating at home. Chatting with Shona we thought it would be nice if the girls had a FaceTime. Beforehand Shona shared a video of herself and Charlotte dancing, Sophie wanted to send one back again.

The girls then had a quick FaceTime chat, Sophie showed Charlotte the colouring in she had done. Charlotte told her it was very neat and in between the lines. Charlotte then took us on a walk to see the frogs in her pond.

We spent the rest of the day in the garden, clearing up after the winter. It was a lovely sunny day and Sophie had a ball playing.

We watched some Strictly Come Dancing on tv from You Tube, Sophie is a bit obsessed with dancing shows right now. We also watched a daily Science show from the Glasgow Science Centre.

It’s going to be a challenge filling the day constructively for what could be months more than weeks.

Today the government asked pubs and restaurants to close to stop people socialising. I think some people don’t think it will happen to them, not realising how serious this could be. Globally over 10,000 people having died, mostly in China and Italy. So far 6 people in Scotland have died after contracting COVID-19. Its quite a worrying time.
